Welcome to Feng Feng who joins the CRITICAL team as a postdoctoral researcher working on the EPSRC project Crossmodal Interactive Tools for Inclusive Learning project. She will be working on shape-changing display aspects of the project.

I have been invited to visit the Crossmodal Cognition Lab, led by Dr Michael Proulx at the University of Bath to talk about how elements of crossmodal perception and interaction can contribute to the design of more inclusive multisensory technologies for visually-impaired and sighted people.

I have been invited to visit the Multimodal Interaction Group, led by Prof Stephen Brewster at the University of Glasgow to talk about designing multisensory technology with and for people living with visual impairments.

Two papers have been accepted at CHI2018; 1) on on informing design of technology to improve inclusion of children with visual impairment in mainstream education; and 2) on awareness in audio-only collaboration.

Welcome to Daniel Bennett who joins us on an EPSRC PhD scholarship. Daniel research will focus on autonomy and intention formation in situations of interaction.
